Limn Bottles: Group shot
Here is an image of three of the pieces in this range. Green and Purple are extremely important colours to me, as I associate them with my home in Scotland.
Limn Bottle in Blue and Amethyst
One of the largest pieces in this range. A beautiful, delicate colour combination with a lovely tactile feel to it.
Detail shot of Limn in Blue and Amethyst
This images shows in detail the 3-dimensional qualities of this piece of carved glass. The purple glass is incased in the pale blue, which I then carve back through.
Detail shot of Limn in Lilac and Lime
Colour is so important to me and my work. I often use purple and green, as it reminds me of my home in Scotland. This image shows the pattern of transparent glass I created beneath the outer layer of opaque glass, and the shape of the window from below.
Limn in Green and Fuchsia
This image shows the pattern of transparent colour I have created on the inside layer of this piece of glass. I then incased the glass in opaque green and when cold, carved back through to the pattern underneath.
Limn Bottles in light.
These pieces truly come to life, when light passes through the two teardrop windows. I wanted this range to emit a wonderful glow of pattern and colour.
Limn Bottle in Cobalt and Orange
This image really shows the power of these pieces. The orange really comes alive with the light behind, creating a wonderful display of pattern and colour.
Limn in Brown and Teal
I love the reflection created by this piece of work. The colour within the windows really shine from the work.
